We've done a lot of guest houses, but Les Salamandres is different.
Added to the charm and comfort of the place is the exceptional welcome from Marcela and Maurice; one for his cooking and his complicit discretion, the other for his schoolboy humor and an undeniable talent as a charm singer or modern troubadour who will interpret for you at short notice the songs that stick to the moment.
It was for us much more than an evening among others in a guest house, it was a moment of great pleasure!

It was only supposed to be one stop on the trip, but it was one of the highlights of our vacation in France for the whole family: "Les Salamandres" in Montlivault. We felt completely at home and "at home": The garden as a wonderful retreat after exhausting visits to the castle, the simple but nicely furnished rooms, the good breakfast and - above all - the excellent cuisine of Marcela and the warm nature of Maurice, who both made our every wish come true. We can't wait to see you again!

Best stay during our 2 weeks in France. The location is incredible - you’re staying in a charming French town in the countryside near the best boulangerie and butcher shop. The hosts are top notch and are experts at what they do. we were greeter with a smile, offered a drink, and even assisted with calling to make reservations for dinner in Blois. The rooms were spacious and clean and we got to enjoy the outdoor patio and tea before bed. Best accommodations I have ever been to. 10/10 recommendation and we will certainly be back.
